# Apr. 2 & 12: As one of "The Nominated Industrial Heritage sites follow-up survey" of the Japan Industrial Archaeology Society, surveyed the current condition of Daiichi-daidogawa bridge.
# Feb. 23: Talked with Dr. Takayuki Shiose, the newly-appointed Associate Professor of Kyoto University Museum, about Kyoto University's technological heritage, related academic societies and museums, etc. We visited and researched Shimadzu Foundation Memorial Hall, and Takasegawa river intake.
# Jan. 7: Attended a wake of former Professor Kiyoshi Maeda who passed away January 2. He was a professor of Tamagawa University and contributed to the establishment of "the Japan Industrial Archaeology Society" and "Japan Society of Education for History of Technology".

# Oct. 23: To research the exhibition methods at a museum, a team headed by Prof. Hong-Sen Yan, former President of DAYEH University, visited Kyoto from National Cheng Kung University, TAIWAN. We visited and researched "Kyoto University Museum", "Undergraduate School of Engineering Science, Kyoto University", "LAKE BIWA AQUEDUCT Museum", "Shimadzu Foundation Memorial Hall", and "Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum".
# Aug. 4: Awarded the Division Prize from the Technology and Society Division of JSME.
# Jul. 16: Opening ceremony of the "Nobel Prize and Fields Medal Laureates" exhibition.
# Nov. ( - May, 2008): Worked for production of the permanent exhibition, "Nobel Prize and Fields Medal Laureates" at Funai Tetsuro Auditorium, Kyoto University.
# Mar.: Retired from Kyoto University (Associate Professor of Kyoto University Museum prior to retirement).
